New Zealand Market Report (30 July 2026)
Combined North and South Island National Sale this week with an offering of 9,200 bales.
Selection consisted of 45% crossbred fleece, good to average colour, 33% crossbred second shear, mostly good colour, 5% crossbred lambs, good to average colour, 13% associated oddments, 4% halfbred fleece.
The New Zealand market continues to soften with another negative correction on the back of the gains over the last two months. This was surprising based on the low volume of wool coming onto the current market.
Fleece: Good colour fleece generally supported.
Shears: Good colour shears generally supported.
Lambs: Good colour lambs still keenly sought after especially on the finer side.
Oddments: Notable lack of support on the carding oddments.
29% passed in.
Next Auction: National sale with an offering of 8,500 bales THURSDAY 13th AUGUST 2026.
