NZWTA announces Wool Testing Fees 2023/24

NZWTA says – the impact of Cyclone Gabrielle was devastating for many communities across New Zealand.  Many people lost their homes and livelihoods, and in some cases family members or friends.  Its effect on the wool industry were immediately felt – farmers lost stock, critical roading infrastructure was damaged making key transportation routes impassable for long periods, and scouring capacity decreased significantly in the North Island.  In particular we want to acknowledge the Woolworks team at this time and wish them well as they rebuild the Awatoto plant.  NZWTA faced a number of constraints in the aftermath of the Cyclone but implemented a series of solutions in order to service the industry as quickly as possible.  We want to pass on our sincere gratitude to all of our customers for their patience and understanding over that difficult period.  Your messages of genuine concern for our team and business were truly appreciated.

We are acutely aware of the surge in costs the business community has faced in recent times.  NZWTA is certainly not sheltered from this, and are frequently absorbing cost increases far-exceeding CPI from suppliers across almost all facets of our business.  To offset the impact of this, NZWTA has continued to expand our testing capabilities across our whole business.  At the same time we are also implementing automation solutions in order to minimise our dependence on labour and its rising costs.  Regretfully however, we cannot absorb all these extra costs and an inflation-related increase in our testing fees will be applied from 1 July 2023.  Please find our testing fees for 2023/24 in the link below.
