34th Nanjing Wool Market Conference – 22-24 September 2023

The 34th Nanjing Wool Market (NWM) Conference opens its doors to international and local delegates on 22-24 September 2023. The conference has been organised by NWM, China Wool Textile Association (CWTA) and China SDIC International Trade Co.

Major conference sponsors are AWI | The Woolmark Company and Guangshan White Shark Card Clothing Co.

The conference will be held in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu. It is expected that a large number of international delegates will attend after a hiatus of three years.

Nanjing Wool Market Conference has long been a highlight in the China wool industry calendar and is usually attended by around 500 delegates including over 100 from outside China.

NWM membership includes woolgrower cooperatives, traders, primary processors, and spinners of wool, and allied fibres all over China. It also welcomes membership from outside China.  

NWM also chairs the Joint China Australia Wool Working Group, Joint New Zealand China Wool Working Group and Joint South Africa China Wool Working Group.  It is involved in arbitration and trade dispute settlements and offers financial services including Bills of Exchange and Letters of Credit.

It works closely with AWI, AWEX, and AWTA in training wool classers, wool shearers, and providing educational resources to local wool growers, and provides training to the early wool processing industry in China.
