UK’s biggest retailers launch new British Wool ranges
British Wool’s licensee scheme has gone from strength to strength, with over 30 brands signed up as licensees over the past 12 months.
The licensee scheme traces the wool being used in products through the supply chain, which helps ensure brands are using a high percentage of British wool in their products.
This month, John Lewis and M&S have respectively launched pillows, mattress toppers and duvets made using 100% British wool.
Graham Clark, Marketing Director at British Wool, said: “We’re extremely proud to be working with these two prestigious British brands and supplying them with British wool.
“The demand for these collections is evidenced by our latest research which revealed nearly a third (31%) of people are trying to shop more sustainably, with half (51%) of Brits more likely to buy a product that is better for the environment.”
Graham continued: “With its many benefits British wool is amazing for helping people get a better night’s sleep and it is great to see so many brands and retailers embracing this. We will be supporting our partners in the sleep sector over the coming year through our multi-channel marketing approach, this is designed to educate consumers and drive demand for this wonderful natural product.”
