Ukrainian Fashion Week returns to Kyiv
More than two years after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Ukrainian Fashion Week will once again take place in Kyiv, organizing committee of Ukrainian Fashion Week.
After four International Seasons, which took place on the catwalks of UFW’s international partners in London, Copenhagen, Los Angeles, Lisbon, Berlin and other cities as part of Support Ukrainian Fashion initiative, 55th UFW season will be held in Kyiv on September 1-4.
“Our resilience is a testament to the strength of fashion industry, solidarity and indomitable spirit of Ukrainian designers,” said Iryna Danylevska, co-founder and CEO of Ukrainian Fashion Week.
“We firmly believe that without creativity of our designers it is impossible to imagine the essence of Ukraine. Our mission is to demonstrate our creative power and Ukrainian resilience to the world. That’s why we decided to bring Ukrainian Fashion Week back to Kyiv to support country’s fashion industry and inspire people.
Despite the missile attacks, air raid warnings and daily challenges, we have to create and develop. And the voice of Ukraine must be heard.”
In addition, Ukrainian Fashion Week will also continue to implement International Seasons format as part of the Support Ukrainian Fashion Initiative, thanks to which Ukrainian designers will present collections in Berlin, Copenhagen, Budapest and other European fashion capitals this season.
