New Zealand Market Report (25. June 2026)

Combined North and South Island selling this week with an offering of 11,570 bales. Selection consisted of 31% crossbred fleece, 35% crossbred second shear, good to average colour, 9% crossbred lambs, good to average colour, 16% associated oddments, 7% halfbreds and 2% miscellaneous types.

Compared to last week’s online sales, on a large selection of crossbred wool, there was once again very strong bidding from the exporters.  All styles were keenly sought after helped by the weaker New Zealand dollar. 

Main buyers were China and India with support from the Australasian mills.

Fleece: Crossbred fleece all styles up to 2% dearer.

Shears: Crossbred shears all styles up to 2% dearer.

Lambs: Crossbred lambs 3% dearer.

Combing lambs: up to 5% dearer.

Oddments: Good colour oddments up to 5% dearer. Poor style oddments 1.5% dearer.

4% passed in based on higher than average grower reserves.

Next Auction: National sale with an offering of 8,500 bales WEDNESDAY 8th JULY 2026.
