Mohair Market Report 25 November 2025

The penultimate sale of the 2025 winter season took place in Port Elizabeth with 123,155 kg on offer of which 96% was sold. The offering consisted excellent quality mohair of which 87% was RMS certified. There was good competition amongst all the buyers present at this auction, especially for the better quality clips on offer.

The average market indicator closed on R362.91 p/kg which is unchanged (unchanged in dollar terms) compared to the previous sale. A highest price of R950.00 p/kg was paid for a bale of super style, 25 micron, kid mohair.
